Spring Ready Hair

So it’s that weird time of the year -  it was snowing last week, mild today and sunny spells are predicted for ALL of next week. No-one really knows what to expect from the Good old British weather.

That’s right, we are approaching SPRING. It has been a long, long loooong cold winter and we don’t know about you but here at CurlyEllie we can’t wait for a bit of sunshine and a few less layers!

We are definitely ready for spring, but does that mean our hair is too?

Absolutely not.

Winter months and minus degrees has an extremely detrimental effect on the hair and leaves our curls in no state to enter the spring season!

Cold winter weather literally sucks moisture out of the hair leaving you with extreme dryness which can get so bad that it can sometimes lead to dandruff (yuck) and while curly hair loses moisture almost twice as fast, measures need to be put in place!

Try our new CurlyEllie Intensive Mask every wash leaving it in the hair for about 5-15 minutes (depending on the damage) to restore that moisture that February stole!

Have you noticed the shine you had back in the summer months has gone missing? (if not, sorry to point it out).

That radiant shine you once had seems to have slowly disappeared as the temps started to drop.

If you don’t want to wait until the Easter bunny arrives to see it again, try spraying a light spritz of our CurlyEllie Moisturising Detangling Spray over your head.

Our key ingredient Pro Vitamin B5 builds a very thin layer of moisture along the surface of the hair to add shine and get that summer hair back!

Dry, frizzing split ends are just another problem us curlies have to face when it comes to chilly weather. The best way to fix this is a quick visit to the hair salon however to stop this problem reoccurring before you even make it to spring try using our CurlyEllie Leave-In conditioner.

Massage in our Leave-In Conditioner / Styling Cream, paying special attention to the ends of the hair (and wherever else you like) to create a shield against those nasty split ends.

Our Leave-In Conditioner /Styling Cream contains Glycerin which is one of our WOW ingredients because not only does it eliminate frizz and leave your hair looking defined.

Glycerin is a humectant, which pulls moisture into the hair from the air and keeps it there. Meaning no more regular meetings with the scissors.
