     Top Tips

    • When applying the products, don't use too much at one go, and take the time to apply them evenly.
    • Apply a little extra where you need it, but even then, be careful not to overdo it. Apply to the palm of your hands and rub together.
    • After applying the Leave In Conditioner and Detangling Spray, DONT TOUCH your hair. Leave to dry naturally.

STEP 1:  Apply Shampoo : CurlyEllie Shampoo gently cleanses, moisturises, hydrates, detangles and shines curly hair.

Wet hair and massage a small amount into your hands and apply to your wet curly hair.

    1. Use your fingers to finger comb along the length of the hair. This gently detangles your hair. Finger detangle as much as possible.

    2. Leave the main detangling to after the Nourishing Conditioner is applied Rinse and re-apply if necessary.

STEP 2:  Apply Conditioner :  CurlyEllie Nourishing Conditioner penetrates into the hair shaft for powerful protection and repair leaving curly hair looking smoother and silkier. Massage about two handfuls of the conditioner into wet or damp curly hair.

    1. Finger comb it through the length so all the hair is coated.
    2. Leave on hair for 5 to 10 minutes. For damaged, coloured or very dry hair  that need a bit more care, substitute this with the Intensive Treatment Mask.   Leave for 30 minutes for deep treatment or overnight for extra dry/damaged hair. See here.

    3. Rinse out - Once it’s all detangled, rinse upside down to encourage volume at the roots. Gently towel dry your hair and blot (don't rub) your hair with the towel. Rubbing wet hair with a towel causes damage that leads to frizzy hair.

Afterwards, gently comb with a wide tooth comb or fingers to detangle. If really knotted, you could use a Brush but take care not to tug at the knots.

STEP 3 : Apply Leave-in Conditioner: CurlyEllie Leave- in Conditioner binds moisture and provides nourishment to curly hair.

    1. Gently pat the hair with a towel to soak out the excess water and help the ringlets form better.
    2. Using a little bit at first, rub on the palms of your hand and work the conditioner through your hair using your fingers to detangle and coat the hair. Pay special attention to the ends.
    3. Do not rinse out product. If too much is applied, leave it to air dry and watch the curls form.

STEP 4: Leave Hair to dry and see the curls start to shape up.

For finer hair, you can use the Moisturising Detangling Spray instead of the Curl Defining Leave In Conditioner.

    For thicker hair, use both.
