 1. TWIST IT UP

How to Curl Straight Hair with no Heat

Top Tip :  This method works best on DAMP hair (not wet hair) so either leave your hair to dry about half way after a shower or dampen dry hair with our F= CurlyEllie Moisturising Detangling spray mixed with our Natural Hold Gel .

Step 1: Prepare your hair.

Comb/Brush your hair through to get rid of any knots or tangles. Gently massage a good amount of our CurlyEllie Curl Defining Leave-In Conditioner on your hair. This will help hold the curls.

Step 2: Section your hair.

Separate your hair into however many sections you like. How many sections you need depends on how much hair you have and whether you want tight curls or loose curls. Less sections means looser curls and if you have more hair you’ll need more sections for tighter curls.

Step 3: TWIST

TwistOnce your hair is sectioned, this is the hard part taken of. Next, put some Leave In conditioner on your palms and gently, pick each section and separate the section into two equal parts of hair.  I like to brush through some serum to make sure there os no frizz. Then wrap each part around the other to create the twist.. The tigher each twist is, the tighter your curl, and vice versa. Keep twisting  as far as you can to the ends of your hair. As you reach the end secure the end with a small rubber band. Pull your twist up secure it at top of your head using our satin scrunchies to avoid it getting frizzy as it dries.

Step 4:

Sleep with your twists

Step 5: Taking our the Twists to reveal your new curls.

Before you remove your rubber band from your hair, make sure that is it completely dry. To test this, try dapping a tissue of something similar like a t-shirt. If no moisture comes through, you can begin gently taking out the twists, section by section. Again, dont be shy to use some Serum on your palms.  Do not brush your hair, unless you have a perchance for frizz. Instead, try using the curl comb at the roots to lift your curls from the scalp to create some volume.

Step 6: Enjoy your new curls!

4. Rollers

Top Tip : No preparation is needed for rollers as they work best on dry hair! Go straight into sectioning the hair into several sections depending on how much head space you have and how lose you’d like your curls. Remember you can buy bigger or smaller rollers for different sized curls.

Step 1:

Place a roller at the bottom of a sectioned piece of hair and wrap the hair around it while rolling it up to the root. Continue this process with each section until all the hair is in rollers

Step 2:

Go about your day or sleep with them in. (Some people find it hard to sleep in rollers).
